I know that some of us here are interesting in Selling Art and thought it would be a great idea to start this post so that we can share art selling resources with each other.

Can anyone recommend any ways to sell art whether it be online or offline?

One place that looks like it could be quite effective to sell art online would be eBay.com , but my research shows that the ebay art auctions can be hit or miss.

I also have been thinking of using sites like ArtForums.net to list art for sale in the classified ads section.

Has anyone else got any great ideas or tips for those who might be selling art work of all types?

Hiya,

Yes! We've recently launched Vesica - it has an online gallery feature for every user who joins. The galleries go live in June, so you can upload your pieces, add images, talk about the history, symbolism, etc. etc.

You get your own gallery and it will have ecommerce functionality on it. You don't have to pay anything to list upto 3 pieces. Check it out on http://vesica.ws

A good way of selling art is creating your own website dedicated to what you do and then using it as a tool to promote your individual pieces this then cuts down on the cost of selling each piece. What you then need to do is get your pieces under the noses of people that want to buy them. A card with a web address is much easier to carry around with you than a portfolio and you then have a site that you can promote in the search engines. Wink

Hi friend,
Art is the reflection of somebody's mental  thought or the inner skill of an artist. As an artist apply all his feeling and thoughts to give live to an art. We can get  some valuable message or information by looking at the art and paintings. You can get many art sites by searching internet. Recently I came across Artodisha.com where I got some heart touching art. You can also reach the site by visiting Buy Art.

Thanks
